God's Stewards: The Role of Christians in Creation Care is written primarily as a call to Christians, by Christians, to live out the Bible's insistence on faithful creation care. This book, though, focuses on a topic that should be of be of utmost importance to all people, including followers of other faiths and those of more secular inclinations: the biosphere -- our environment and home. The biosphere is a comprehensive term for all the created. It is God's creation and includes all flora and fauna, all organic and inorganic objects, including humankind. Christianity teaches that while people are created "in the image of God," we are nonetheless a species in a dependent relationship to the Creator.
